Nut Allergies: Avoiding Your Trigger Foods

One of the most common triggers for in the country today are nuts. Nut are quite common. Although in most case, nut are not really serious, it can really be very irritating. Just think about all those itches rashes that you get when you eat the wrong type of nuts and you will know what I mean. If you are one of those people who have nut allergies, here are some ways for you to avoid that miserable feeling. Avoidance The first thing that you should do if you have nut is to avoid your triggers. Find out which type of nuts that trigger your allergic reactions. For instance, if you are allergic to peanuts, make sure that you stay away from food that has peanuts in it. Do away with the peanut butter and replace it with something which is not threatening to your health. There are many types of chocolates that have peanuts in it. Before you buy chocolates, read the label and find out if there are ingredients in it that could trigger your allergies. According to experts, you need to be alert of the words that could mean peanuts such as hydrolyzed vegetable protein. Most hydrolyzed vegetable protein is derived from peanuts so stay away from those products that contain this ingredient. Stay away from egg

rolls and those products chili in it. In most cases, peanut butter is used to seal off egg rolls. On the other hand, peanut butter is usually used to thicken the chili. If you really must eat chili, make sure that there are not additives in it. If you can find a substitute product that does not use peanuts in it, use that product and save yourself from the discomforts and misery of nut allergies. There is really no point of tempting fate when it comes to nut allergies. Note that some people some severe allergic reactions to nuts and such reactions could be life threatening. Consult You Doctor If you have some severe nut allergies, it is best to consult your doctor about medications and first aid treatments. Do not self-medicate without any proper instructions from your doctor. Always remember that nut could pose some serious problems and complications. If you do not feel well and you suspect that you have some nut allergies, you better go see your doctor immediately. Furthermore, you should carry a note in your pocket describing your allergies. Note that if you happen to have an accident and you can not properly tell somebody about your allergies, you can just tell them about the note in your pocket. Just a little note describing your medical condition can save your life.
